CNN —The “Sonic the Hedgehog” movies weren’t particularly good, but they had Jim Carrey and made a lot of money, so inevitably, there’s more. Lacking Carrey to help carry the load, “Knuckles,” spun out of that game-to-screen universe, isn’t just bad, but a next-level degree of bad, starting with the puzzling question of for whom this six-episode Paramount+ series was made. Despite only six half-hour episodes to complete the trek from points A to B, “Knuckles” goes nowhere fast and doesn’t seem to be in much of a hurry to get anywhere. “I do not make jokes,” Knuckles tells Wade. “Knuckles” premieres April 26 on Paramount+.

New York CNN —Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes are ditching Amazon and taking their popular podcast “SmartLess” to SiriusXM, the satellite radio network said Monday. SiriusXM gained exclusive rights to the hit podcast as part of a larger deal with SmartLess Media, according to an announcement Monday. The deal keeps the podcast widely available, but brings perks to SiriusXM subscribers – and could possibly encourage more to join. SiriusXM has about 34 million subscribers, according to its October 2023 earnings report. The “SmartLess” podcast is among the top listened to in the country.

LONDON (Reuters) - The youth charity started by Britain's King Charles when he was still a prince - the Prince's Trust - will now become the King's Trust, Buckingham Palace said on Friday. Charles, who became king last year after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth, set up the charity in 1976 to tackle high youth unemployment and so far it has supported over a million young people. The charity helps young people aged 11 to 30 get into jobs, education and training. Two other charities started by Charles will also change their names to reflect his accession to the throne. The Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund will become the King Charles III Charitable Fund, while the Prince's Foundation will become the King's Foundation, the palace said.

Though the images in the calendar have become more diverse, the 2024 edition was the first installment produced by a Black photographer. Known for making bold, colorful images, Mr. Gyasi, who is also the first African photographer to shoot the Pirelli calendar, has tried to challenge traditional narratives about Africa as well as Western beauty ideals in his work. He said the opportunity to shoot the calendar was too good to turn down, partly because he would be following in the footsteps of celebrated photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Tim Walker and Albert Watson. For his edition, which focuses on the themes of Black empowerment and mastering time, Mr. Gyasi also assembled an all-Black cast. CNN —Idris Elba says he felt “super complimented for a long time” when it came to suggestions he should play James Bond. During a recently released conversation on Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett’s podcast “Smartless,” Elba addressed the many times he’s been asked about replacing Daniel Craig in the James Bond film franchise. Lots of people have rooted for Elba to be the first Black James Bond, and he said he was aware of the compliment in that. “It’s like being named sexiest man.”(People magazine named Elba “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2018.) “Those that weren’t happy about the idea made the whole thing disgusting and off-putting because it became about race,” Elba said.

GDANSK, June 11 (Reuters) - Poland's biggest video game producer CD Projekt (CDR.WA) will release a highly-anticipated expansion to its flagship game Cyberpunk 2077 called "Phantom Liberty" on Sept. 26, the company announced during the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday. The release will be CD Projekt's first major premiere since the bug-ridden launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020. The trailer for the upcoming expansion was announced by Keanu Reeves, who will be back in the role of Johnny Silverhand. The expansion is the last project to be developed on CD Projekt's own technology RED Engine, with the company switching to external Unreal Engine for its upcoming developments. In September CD Projekt announced it had sold 20 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077.
